These two huge sports fans met in college almost a decade ago. And while they are both extremely intelligent, they’re also extremely down to earth, laid back, and know how to throw a good party. Their love for the outdoors is evident in their proposal story and their Wind in the Willows wedding. One Saturday morning as Teal and Devon were hiking with friends they stopped to enjoy the surrounding scenery when Devon suggested taking their photo. Not one to normally do so, Teal shot him a confused look. That look, though, quickly turned to joy as Devon asked her to marry him right there among the gorgeous landscape as their friends snapped away capturing the entire thing.
When Teal told me of the willow trees that would be the focus of the ceremony at their Wind in the Willows wedding, well, you know I was more than excited. The day was absolute perfection from the weather to the super fun bridal party to the cool, calm, and collected bride and groom themselves.
The day started with Teal and Devon’s beautiful details as they finished getting ready with their family and friends. And then, with the willow trees towering above us, I got to witness Devon seeing his beautiful bride for the first time. Their joy was infectious and fueled even further as their bridal party joined us (in style of course – see below!). The rest of the day flowed smoothly from ceremony to reception and was capped off with a beautiful sunset.
