Wow, ya’ll, I don’t know how it is August already, but cue the hot and sticky weather! I can’t believe how amazingly cool it has been so far, but I’m not complaining. This summer has definitely been one for the books as we have worked with some amazing couples, met and worked with some truly talented vendors (we like to refer to them as friendors), and launched our new brand complete with a new logo and new website. Whew! We did make sure to get some vacay time in there, too, because the second half of our wedding season is just as wonderfully crazy. We kicked our 2017 wedding season off with the always amazing Aaron and Hannah at Two Harts Barn in Spring Grove, Pennsylvania. Their wedding was very beautiful and truly special to be part of. Lilly and I had a the honor of watching not only two people in love come together, but also the joining of two families that have so much respect and admiration for one another, it was touching. With their closest friends and fraternity and sorority brothers and sisters, there was never a dull moment with this tight-knit group. We laughed as they laughed and cried when they cried. We had a blast photographing the bridal party from their jovial nature with one another to their reenactments of their favorite movie, Stepbrothers. During our one on one time with Aaron and Hannah we were in awe as the beauty of the couple collided with the beauty of the setting (who says rain on your wedding day is a bad thing?). We moved on to the reception where Hannah’s dad gave the most touching speech about the Lease and the Dray families becoming one and his love for Aaron and how well Aaron loved his baby girl. More tears followed as Hannah’s brother in law is in the military and could not make it, but he made the time to provide a surprise voice message congratulating the newlyweds. Everything was perfect. Lori and hear team at Two Harts Barn provided a stunning venue while Forte Florals out of Lancaster designed and assembled some of the most amazing floral arrangements I’ve ever seen.
