Earlier this spring, E & G celebrated with a close group of family and friends at a private estate in Pennsylvania. What was originally supposed to be a much larger celebration was exchanged for a more intimate and personal affair. Like so many of our beloved pandemic couples, they chose to see the beauty in their abridged circumstances. Their simple celebration drew attention to the most important parts of their wedding day. Without hundreds of guests to briefly greet, the happy couple enjoyed some much needed quality time with their family.
They had been dating for four years when G proposed. What had originally started years ago as a casual meeting during happy hour, turned into a relationship filled with love and laughter. They moved in together and adopted an adorable rescue lab named Luna and the rest is history. The night of the proposal started with dinner and ended at a fountain in Philadelphia where they had taken their photograph on their first dating anniversary. E was then surprised to have her family and friends waiting on them to celebrate, making for the perfect night.
They both love Philadelphia sports and can often be found in the stands cheering on the Philadelphia 76ers and Philadelphia Phillies. They also absolutely adore their rescue pup and curling up with her while watching their favorite shows.
The private estate was the perfect place for this intimate soiree. The first weeks of spring graced the grounds with fresh blooms and dainty foliage. As the cool spring day faded to dusk, cafe lights strung across the grove added a touch of softness that complimented the warmth of friendship and conversation taking place over dinner. The intimate nature of the day allowed for a slower timeline and a more relaxed environment which always lends itself well to a more natural, candid reflection of the wedding day represented throughout the photographs.
Such a family oriented day would not have been complete without a creative homage to the couple’s beloved furbaby. As a gift for her husband, E had a dinner plate hand painted with a portrait of their pet.
“Mallory was a dream to work with, and the best investment that we made for our wedding day! From our engagement shoot to our wedding day, Mallory made us feel so comfortable, and we had a blast shooting with her. She has been extremely flexible throughout the pandemic: we had to reschedule our engagement shoot once and downsized our 260 person wedding to a 22 person backyard wedding. Mallory never batted an eyelash and made our wedding day feel so so special. We received our sneak peek gallery within a few days of our wedding date and the pictures are STUNNING! I’ve been sharing the photos with friends and everyone has commented how beautiful they are.”
