This week we photographed a super special wedding. Mal was not only the lead photographer of this sweet elopement, but she was also the host. It was the first wedding that ever took place on her property, right in front of their beautiful willow tree and pond, and it surely will not be the last.
Jen and Zach have been together for ages and when it came down to wedding planning they knew from the beginning they wanted a small intimate celebration. Something that was just about the two of them and nobody else. Something simple, but oh so meaningful. They both got ready here in the studio (how fun?!) and we got to play coordinators, photographers, and hosts all in one (well, two haha). Jen kept the dress a surprise from Zach, so when she started to make her way down the hill, it was hard for all of us not to tear up. The ceremony was so sweet and relaxed with the calming sound of the water behind us and birds softly chirping all around us. Surrounded by mother nature and all her beauty!
After the ceremony we hopped around the property for some fun photo taking and then these two adventure-loving newlyweds were off to make their way down to the airport for their honeymoon in AFRICA! Their next weeks will consist of safaris and lion spotting, can you believe it? I know we can’t wait to see pictures and hear all of the stories!
Congratulations, Jen and Zach! We hope your marriage will be just as special and loving as your big day! And spot a lion or two for us!
xoxo
Lilly
