Linwood Estate Summer Wedding Inspiration

The first time I stepped onto the property at Linwood Estate I fell in love. It is full of grandeur and romance, yet intimately tucked away in the countryside of Carlisle, Pennsylvania surrounded by flowing fields. The property also has one of the coolest histories stemming from the couple who lived their decades ago and raised their six girls there. When the collaboration for an inspiration shoot came up, I was immediately on board and couldn’t wait to dive in. We wanted to highlight the gorgeous, bright indoor space that Linwood’s mansion provides for smaller ceremonies and intimate receptions, as well as, the beautiful, soft color palette of greens and pinks that unfolds on the property when everything is in full bloom. Enter sweet, sweet Danielle of Your Sweetest Day Events. Not only does she live up to her name, but she exceeds it. With her help we were able to bring in several talented vendors to help bring the vision together.

When looking for a couple to be at the center of it all, I knew I wanted a true couple deep in love that would take my prompts and direction as naturally as could be. Enter Katherine and Waylen. Their names just sound like one of those couples you read about in the best of romantic novels. And as fate would have it, they were celebrating their first wedding anniversary the weekend of the shoot! I knew it was destiny. What better way for these two lovebirds to celebrate than to get all dressed up and literally relive their wedding day? Katherine had us picking our jaws up off the floor and Waylen kept the mood light and full of laughter.

Surrounded by dreamy pink, mauve, and white florals and details, Katherine stunned in BHLDN’s Cassia Gown. And as we moved from on location on the property to another, you could just see the love exuding from these two bringing the vision to life in a way that was more perfect than we ever could have imagined. One of my favorite parts of the day was when Katherine and Waylen’s fun and energetic spirits shined through and we had them running down Linwood’s long lane amongst the trees and gardens (puddles and all!).

All in all, it was a beautiful collaboration amongst wedding vendors that I am so honored to say have become friends. I hope that these photographs not only showcase the talents and creations involved (I mean, have you seen the tablescape yet?), but offer inspiration to any couple looking for a light and airy, romantic wedding.
