The Experience

Welcome!

So he or she asked and you said yes! Now the fun begins! What venue will you choose? What will your dress look like? What color tie will you wear? So many things to think about, but one of the most important decisions you’ll make about your wedding day is who will capture it for you and tell your story. Your photographer is the one (or in our case, two!) wedding vendor that gets to be with you from the most intimate getting ready moments to your exciting exit after the last dance. That is why it is so important to us that we take the time to really get to know you and your fiance. We want you to feel 100% comfortable in front of our lens and have you think of us as more of a friend than a wedding vendor. Photographing your wedding day is of course the main reason you have reached out to us, but we don’t want the relationship to be just that. We want to cheer you on during your journey to marriage. We also want to support you after the big day as you settle into your marriage and the new adventure you and your fiance will set out on.

The Team

By joining the Mallory McClure Photography family you not only get the support from me, but also my amazing, hard working team. I am so lucky to have a few special ladies by my side! Lilly Campbell has joined Mallory McClure Photography as another photographer so that we can capture even more special images of your wedding day and Brooke McClure has become my Creative Assistant helping us all stay organized and focused on our goals. I have never met a more hardworking person or someone so dedicated to a vision than these two. They provide wonderful support to every step of the Mallory McClure Photography experience and to you, the most important reason of why we do what we do. We love getting together with couples to chat over coffee and talk about all of the beautiful visions you have for your wedding. We always leave those times feeling like we made such great new friends and that gets us so excited for the rest of our journey with you.

Getting to know you

In addition to us initially getting together and beyond the couples session, we like to sit down with you at least one more time before the big day to talk about the final details of the day. The overall timeline, family and friends that you want to make sure we get photographs of, any other unique details of the day or surprises that we should be aware of. That way, when the big day arrives we are organized and ready to go so you do not need to think about a thing.

Displaying your memories

After the wedding day we are of course so anxious to share the photographs with you! It is one of the most important parts of job to walk you through all of the beautiful ways you can display your wedding images and turn your digital files into timeless works of art. We have created a comfortable space at the studio for what we like to call your design session. You get to come hang out with us to view your wedding day images and talk about how you want to display your memories. This allows us to provide you with examples of what your wedding photographs can look like in print, in an album and on canvas. In this day and age it is awesome to have the digital files of your wedding day to relive every moment, but it is also important to have your treasured favorites displayed in the home you will be building together, as a constant reminder of why you got married. Whether you have selected a collection that includes any post wedding products or not, the design session will be the perfect time for you both to talk with one another about the options your interested in and ask us any questions you may have. If your wedding day collection does include any post wedding products we will dive into further detail about that and begin our collaboration on the design and ordering process. We are over the moon to share this time with you and make sure you are getting the best from us!

Creating Art with Film Photography

And speaking of print and tangible ways to display your wedding memories, we are so excited to share that we have added film photography as a wedding day choice. Wait, what, did she say film? Yes! Film is the foundation and gorgeous beginning to what is today’s photography and as someone who has always had a soft spot for film photography and the quality of the artistic images it produces I thought, why not share that artistry with my couples?

Beyond your vows

I remember the nervous and excited butterflies I had on my own wedding day when I married my high school sweetheart. Almost a decade and two little ones later I am more in love with him than ever. Marriage is a stunningly beautiful crazy adventure and I wouldn’t trade any of it for the world. It is something I am very passionate about and I love knowing that I get to meet so many fantastic couples embarking on the same journey I did. It is also a very humbling feeling to be the one who gets to document the beginning of your journey knowing that the images captured on your wedding day will be the ones that you look back on in times of celebration and reflection or during times of valleys and sorrows as a reminder of where it all began. It is important to me that we not only are some of your biggest supporters on the day of, but on every day thereafter.
